Man kommt auf die Welt und befindet sich entweder in den Armen seiner Mutter oder bereits in den Armen einer fremden Person. Schon in den ersten Sekunden beginnt ein Weg, den man sich nicht selbst ausgesucht hat. Manche Menschen starten ihr Leben mit Geborgenheit, andere mit einem Verlust, den sie noch nicht einmal begreifen können. Nicht jeder bekommt die Möglichkeit, die ersten Momente seines Lebens mit seiner Mutter zu verbringen. Ist das fair?

Trotzdem kämpfen viele weiter. Manche geben auf, nicht weil sie schwach sind, sondern weil sie die Trauer akzeptiert haben und gelernt haben, mit ihr zu leben. Andere kämpfen weiter und versuchen, die Seiten ihres Lebens selbst zu schreiben. Sie glauben daran, dass eines Tages nicht mehr nur Schmerz ihr Leben bestimmen wird. Und wenn man ehrlich ist, erreichen viele von ihnen diesen Tag tatsächlich. Den Tag, an dem sie wieder von Herzen lachen können.

Doch die Wunden, die das Leben hinterlassen hat, verschwinden nie ganz. Die Erinnerungen bleiben. Niemand ist zu hundert Prozent glücklich und niemand ist vollkommen zufrieden mit allem, was er ist oder was sein Leben betrifft.

Als Kind fragt man sich, warum andere etwas haben, das man selbst nicht hat. Später bleibt dieselbe Frage bestehen. Nur geht es dann nicht mehr um Spielzeug, sondern um Liebe, Erfolg, Geld oder Menschen, die man gerne an seiner Seite hätte.

Viele verbringen ihr Leben damit, dem hinterherzulaufen, was ihnen fehlt. Doch wer ständig nur auf das schaut, was er nicht besitzt, übersieht oft das, was bereits vor ihm liegt. Wer glaubt, alles bekommen zu müssen, bleibt an seinen Erwartungen hängen und findet kaum Frieden.

Deshalb gibt es die Möglichkeit, das Leben als Geschenk zu betrachten. Nicht weil alles gut ist und nicht weil alles gerecht ist, sondern weil man lernt, die Dinge anzunehmen, die man nicht verändern kann. Akzeptanz bedeutet nicht aufzugeben. Sie bedeutet, seine Kraft nicht an Kämpfe zu verschwenden, die man niemals gewinnen kann.

Natürlich ist es schwer zu akzeptieren, dass manche Träume vielleicht niemals wahr werden. Doch Akzeptanz braucht Zeit. Und Zeit heilt nicht jede Wunde, aber sie lehrt uns, mit ihr zu leben. Sie hilft uns, neue Kapitel aufzuschlagen, auch wenn die alten noch Spuren hinterlassen haben.

Eigentlich trägt jeder Mensch sowohl Glück als auch Leid in sich. Viele erleben Momente, in denen sie keinen Ausweg mehr sehen. Gleichzeitig erleben sie Augenblicke, in denen sie sich wünschen, die Zeit würde für immer stehen bleiben. Der Unterschied liegt oft nur darin, welchem Gefühl wir mehr Raum geben.

Man kann lernen, die Traurigkeit loszulassen, ohne die Erfahrungen zu vergessen. Man kann lernen, die glücklichen Momente bewusster wahrzunehmen. Man muss nicht nur dankbar sein für das, was man sich gewünscht hat, sondern auch für das, was bereits da ist. Für die Gesundheit, für die Menschen, die geblieben sind, oder einfach für die Möglichkeit, einen weiteren Tag erleben zu dürfen.

Wahre Zufriedenheit sollte nicht nur von anderen Menschen abhängen. Menschen können gehen. Sie können sich verändern oder verschwinden. Die Beziehung zu sich selbst jedoch begleitet einen ein Leben lang.

Gerade die Zeiten, in denen man sich verloren fühlt, lehren einen oft am meisten. Sie sind nicht nutzlos. Das Leben zeigt uns, wie man Schmerz trägt, Hoffnung findet und Dinge überwindet, die einst unüberwindbar erschienen.

Doch das Leben hat auch ein Ende. Eines Tages werden wir alles zurücklassen. Unsere Erfolge, unsere Fehler, unsere Erinnerungen und unsere Träume. Dann stellt sich die Frage: Wofür war die ganze Mühe?

Vielleicht liegt die Antwort nicht in einem Ziel, das wir irgendwann erreichen. Vielleicht liegt sie in dem Weg selbst. In den Menschen, die wir kennenlernen. In den Erfahrungen, die uns prägen. In den Momenten, die uns zeigen, dass wir leben.

Am Ende liegt vieles in unseren eigenen Händen. Man kann das Leben als Last betrachten und seine Jahre damit verbringen, Dingen nachzutrauern, die nie einem gehört haben. Man kann an einer Vergangenheit festhalten, die längst vorbei ist.

Man kann das Leben aber auch als Geschenk sehen. Man kann akzeptieren, dass nicht alles unter der eigenen Kontrolle liegt und dass manche Dinge niemals die eigenen werden. Vielleicht liegt der Sinn des Lebens nicht darin, alles zu bekommen, was man sich wünscht, sondern darin, trotz allem weiterzugehen und Frieden mit sich selbst zu finden.

Vielleicht ist das Leben weder nur eine Last noch nur ein Geschenk. Vielleicht wird es zu dem, was wir daraus machen…
